A rite passage of sorts, these images…….Am not sure many will get the significance of what these images mean to those who have gotten up at 4 in the morning, walked out onto a frozen lake, sat there in the cold, line down a hole and watched the sun rise kiss the horizon. If everyone could experience this, then everyone would stand on mountain tops to shout “nature is beautifully, I will protect her”.

i love the colors of dusk, last night we had pale salmon, rose, lavender and violet. One can’t help but stand there mesmerized. Lovely shots, but you say it is all melted, even the lake? We’re at least a month away from that. Right now it is snowing like mad – one half meter expected. sigh.

The lake is still iced over, but the snow has melted.
