Spring sent me a bouquet of tulips
As a reminder that rays of beauty
Are also important in this modern world
Of practicality.
Or in the words of Basho:
The temple bell stops but I still hear the sound coming out of the flowers.
Spring also sent me a wonderful reminder
To stop, to wonder
And to take the time to smell the flowers.

Breathtaking photos! The color is so vivid and I really enjoyed them.

I’m verklempt with all the beauty. Wonderful shots!!
Speaking of hearing the sounds of flowers, my husband was sitting on the patio and heard a pop. He looked up just as a hibiscus flower opened. He didn’t know if the sound was connected to the bloom opening, but it sure felt like it to him.

All those beautiful tulips sleeping through the Winter and coming out to welcome spring — how wonderful. (I really miss Spring flowers here in Florida…never cold enough for the usual ones, tulips, daffodils etc, and by the time we get back to Oregon, they’re gone already. Ah well…what these old bones give up for a warm winter! Thanks for sharing your Spring — it is gorgeous! And (Oscar looks like he belongs right there in the daffy field!)
