– 25 C out. Swaddled like a penguin, I march out with the dog in defiance of the cold.
Glowing cheeks, icicles in nose, frosty eyelashes.
Mountains of snow to thrill and chill.
Feeling frozen. Living in this Viking freezer.
Suddenly, a warming sight greets me.
A golden sun painting the scene with warm yellow tones.
Beauty that takes my breath away and leaves me
Anticipating the next cold walk at sunset.

-25 C is insane. We went snowshoeing yesterday and while it was snowing on us I was stripped down to the lightest clothes that would keep me dry. That is my idea of winter. You must be north, north, north.

Amazing colours in this pic: the top half looks as if it was taken in old-fashioned sepia, and the bottom half is a vibrant, electric blue! 😀
Did you photoshop the image to get this effect, or did it really look like that?

I don’t have photoshop… so yes – it really did look like this! The blue-y effect is the snow in shadow.
