The decade in photos

A quick look through the photos over the past decade shows

That I enjoyed lots of sunsets —

Often with dogs and sometimes hot air balloons.

And, of course, there is the snowy joy

Of winter – also with dogs –

But sometimes without.

And after winter, the annual spring exlosion

Of sakura cherry blossoms

To remind us to carpe diem.

Life is fragile, like the blossoms, and just as beautiful.

  1. Hello, gorgeous photos. The first one is one of my favorites. Enjoy your day and week ahead. Thanks for visiting my blog this past year! Happy New Year, I wish you all the best in 2020!

  2. Me too, Fiona, I enjoy LOTS of sunsets! 🙂

Each and everyone of these is stunning! I especially love the last two. The one of the snow looks like a painting. And the pink cherry blossoms are glorious. The color you captured is exquisite!

Thanks so much for sharing your images and words. It’s been such a pleasure and joy blogging with you these past years.

    Happy 2020, my friend!

    Cheers! X

  3. It is so interesting to look back over the year, and the decade – now that would be interesting. So much has happened. I’ve enjoyed your gorgeous images over the decade and look forward to you sharing more in the years to come. Wishing you an amazing 2020.

  4. Your dogs are so beautiful. I just check on my digital photos and videos. I’m over 19,000 saved ones. I have categorized them somewhat, but I still have trouble searching for a particular one that I want to use on my blog. – Margy

  5. Lady Fi – I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to narrow your decade down to five photos! ‘Cause we all know you have hundreds of gorgeous pictures! Happy New Year to you!

  6. As one decade finishes, a new one begins. Lots of changes ahead, both in our personal lives and in the world around us. Lets hope that the changes are good and useful and creative and peaceful and just. Best wishes to you and your family and your beautiful doggy companions for 2020.

  7. It is always uplifting to open your blog to visit the beauty on your doorstep. Happy New Year with time to relax and enjoy nature. [Helen]
