A couple of weeks ago,
Simson and I sneaked out of the house very early
To enjoy the soft, pink dawn.
We saw a line of ducks
Flung against the purple canopy of the sky.
They flew past like scattered leaves,
While we remained – marvelling at the way dawn unfurls.
For more early mornings or late evenings, please visit: Skywatch.
This is so lovely…worth it to wake up early to catch this beautiful dawn.

Thank you for the ‘sneak’ preview. Reminds me in a way, of the lines in ‘Old Man and the Sea’:
“Age is my alarm clock,” the old man said. “Why do old men wake so early? Is it to have one longer day?”
“I don’t know,” the boy said. “All I know is that young boys sleep late and hard.”
……….perhaps age is the alarm clock, for man or woman, or those with wisdom be the young or old, are the only ones whom can hear the early dawn colour knocking.
