When the dawn paints the sky
In tones of strawberry and lilac,
There is nothing more relaxing
Than enjoying some quiet time
Down at the beach.
The shower may be cold
But the view is delightful.

One morning in late November,
Just as the ice was forming on the lake,
The houses on the far shore were lit up like a necklace of lights.
One in particular was ablaze —
What a glorious view it must be from those windows!
The sun rose slowly
Turning the world into a tapestry of lilacs and pinks,
Stitched together with clouds.

As the temperatures drop,
The colours in the sky intensify.
When the ice reflects back
The perfection of a pink and lilac dawn,
You know you’re lucky enough
To be enjoying a slice of heaven.

As the sun was rising in gorgeous pink tones,
The bare trees of November and the frosted ground
Cast beautiful reflections on the lake.
There is so much beauty
In the minimalism of a buoy stuck in ice
And a float to keep us anchored
In case we fly away on the dreaminess of the
Stunning pink dawn.

And tinges everything pink:
As the sun rises
We enjoy a moment of rose-tinted serenity.
The view from my new part of the lake
Is simply stunning on an early morning, don’t you think?

A walk down by a nearby lake at sunset
Revealed swirls of pink in the sky.
The light gently landed on the water
Giving it a gorgeous pink hue.
Later on, a small, silver
Sliver of a moon sailed into the sky
Bringing peace at the end of the day.

One of the highlights of spring is enjoying the sakura
Or Japanese cherry blossoms in the centre of Stockholm.
The sakura speak to us of
What is possible
And of petalled beauty
That lasts only a short time,
Blooming without holding back
And reminding us that life is like the sakura:
Fleeting, fragile, fabulous.

And don’t forget: Skywatch.
When I woke up this morning, it was very misty
With the sun struggling through foggy veils.
That reminded me of all the moments of joy
When we lived down by the lake
And I could step outside in my dressing gown
To enjoy the sky kissing the water.

The power of winter
Stops water in its tracks —
Freezing reflections and skies
Onto its icy surface.
Scenes like this make me want to burst out into song: ‘The cold never bothered me anyway.’

December was a month
Of pink and lilac skies —
Giving us deliciously
Frosted views at dawn.
