Trees rise out of the early morning fog —
They seem to be floating in the rose-tinged dawn.

A hot sunset
Sizzles over the lake.
A mother duck and her babies swim by.
Peace descends on the water
In the form of strawberry crush.

I’m going away to Montenegro and Croatia with the kids for a week —
To see new horizons and sights.
In the meantime, I leave you with
A pretty, pink sunset down at the lake.
(I won’t be around to comment on your blogs for about ten days.
But don’t worry, Our World will be up and running as normal!)

And, of course, Our World!
We’re having a lovely winter this spring,
But the dogs don’t mind.
With the return of the light,
The colour is coming back —
And sometimes in a bright flash of pink.
Only posting once this week due to work.
The path leads through
Snowy beauty —
All the way
To pink popcorn cloud skies.

So far winter has mainly been gray and mild,
So we have to make the most of those glorious
Pink frosted dawns with ice on the lake
And furry friends on the jetty.
Wishing you all the much love and joy in this festive season!

August offers up a universe of lovely bouquets:
A dazzling pink galaxy of flowers;
Yellow suns floating in the wind;
Or a floral star in the sky;
And, finally, an orange planet
Of gorgeous, sunlit petals.

The sakura, or Japanese cherry blossoms,
Remind us that life is short and beautiful.
Buds and blossoms thrive
On the same branch – and so can we if we really try.
The pink froth of the petals
Reminds us that time and blossoms are fleeting, fragile and fabulous.

Going down to the lake with the dogs
Is my evening pleasure:
Nature provides the best entertainment
As clouds and setting sun
Turn the waters of the lake pink.

Last week, I passed the park with the Japanese sakura trees very early in the morning.
It was minus degrees, frosty and very cold —
But that didn’t stop this photo shoot (the model had bare feet)!
Later on that week, I returned on a sunnier day
Just in time for a wedding photo shoot under the blossoms.
You can’t help but smile
Underneath that candy floss canopy of flowers!
(I’m only posting once this week as I’m away filming at the end of the week.)
