Sometimes
When the light is just right
And the shadows weave a tapestry with the sun —
If you take the time to look closely and marvel
Even the humblest sight – like a cloud of midges –
Can become a magnificent and beautiful cloud of gold dust
Reminding us that we all have hidden depths and beauty within.

Thank you for this post! Looking for joy and beauty in small things — that’s why we have fun on roadtrips — even the endless miles (as some describe them) between here and there bring things we enjoy, I wish I could describe this as beautifully as you do.
I am catching up tonight; it isn’t always easy to get a good connection while we’re on the road. I loved the Viking tour above; wonderful field trip. You know it’s a great one when the kids don’t want to go home!
