Just popping in to say hello and to share this glorious view
Of frozen birch trees in a glowing winter sunset.
(It was about minus 16 C.)
Life is still very busy with house unpacking stuff so I apologize in advance for not getting round to your blogs.

D’em sentinels be everywhere. Though yours seem to have their hair down, where mine have their dandruff up. Yours a mystical fairy tale, mine nothing short of Billy Goat’s Gruff.
And yes, Elvira is looking and feeling “maaaaaarvelous” to quote Billy Crystal. Thank you for asking and your concern. She was full of two year old enthusiasm this morning, wishfully thinking she could fly in chase of a small flock of Mallards we startled from their breakfasting pond. She remains grounded, snoring beside me now with one eye open just in case I make a move for the door.

I do love the elegance of trees in winter. Pared back to the bones, and still beautiful.
I hope you are settling in well, and that the unpacking (shudder) is nearly done.
