Yesterday the temperature dropped down to minus 25 C
In the frosted early morning.
I went out on the ice – but stayed out way too long –
One and a half hours… With no breakfast.
Came back with a frost damaged face
And spent the rest of the day in bed sick.
Just goes to show that you shouldn’t
Be bound by your limits —
But you should know what your limits are!
Thank you in advance for your kind comments – I won’t be replying to them today
As I need to recover.

O my goodness! I did not realise that this could happen! But I guess frost on the face is like a burn! And that can make you sick too! Hope it all settles soon for you! Love the beautiful photo of all that snow touched with light and a beautiful dog clearly enjoying the moment!

Your poor, poor face. I do hope that it, and you, recover quickly. These are beautiful images – but not worth damaging yourself over.

Geez ! minus 25 ° C ! The maximum we ever had in the middle of Belgium was – 15 °C ! With these temperatures you have to cover your face like a bank robber, black and only the eyes visible ! We had – 6° this morning which is already quiet cold because some people are not equipped for such temperatures ! It also snows and we are stuck home !

Hope you feel better soon. Gosh, that temperature is brutal. I was sick a couple of weeks ago too, and I’m sure it was due to being out for several hours photographing egrets on a cold, damp day. Take care!

This has happened to me more times than I can count. If only we could magically transport ourselves back to our warm home the moment we realize we’ve overstayed our endurance! It’s the trek back that gets us. 🙂 You and Oscar stay cozy and feel better soon, and meanwhile we’ll enjoy your beautiful snowscape photo and what you suffered to get it!

Oh goodness! That is dangerously cold to be out for so long. I hope you are okay.
We’ve got down to 20 below F (I think that’s about 29 below C) for a couple days and not expected to even reach zero F for days. It can look beautiful and sunny, but it is downright crispy out there. Be careful!!
