If you wish for the light, be ready to receive it. — Rumi
Spring is on its way —
But only last week, the bright sun
And the feathered hoar frost
Turned the world into a black and white wonderland.
The sky may be bleached of colour,
But that frosted light is glorious!

Gorgeous! These would look stunning framed on a wall!!

There is an American Photographer, Ansel Adams, who is famous for his Black & White Photography. I love Black & Whites – they convey a certain emotion that is different than color. I imagine you took these shots in color, but the frost and colors washed out to full grey tones of black and white, so the effect is the same. Your photos are frame worthy! Thank you for sharing your talent.

Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, these were taken in colour – but the brightness of the sun and snow has made them look black and white.

Re. your question in my blog: I can´t tell you. But the company Pinterest take for granted that the person who has pinned your photo has your approval (pursuant to the agreement) and that gives Pinterest the right to sell your “stolen” photo.

Hi there, I love seeing hoar frost on the trees. One year, a few years ago, when we were in Arkansas, we saw hoar frost on the trees on that mountain. We got some fabulous pictures that year. Love your words, frosted light. Fits your pictures perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

PS What do you think about people “pinning” your Photos on Pinterest???? Is that a good or a bad thing in your opinion?
LikeLike
That’s a tricky one about Pinterest. I love spreading the love, but the problem is that when you sign the terms and conditions with Pinterest, you promise that you have PERMISSION from the photographer to re-pin her photos (which clearly people don’t have). And once you’ve re-pinned a photo you say you have permission for, then according to the agreement you signed with Pinterest, they can then use that photo and sell it to others. If the person who took the photo finds out and decides to go to court, then you are responsible for all the costs.
So – I like the thought behind Pinterest, but not the commercial aspect they have of saying they own anything pinned there.
