The sentinel

Only the sentinel sea gull and I stood watching

As the sun set – not with splashes of showy colour

But modestly, turning lake and photo

Into an oil painting —

And soul into a being with wings.

  7. Can you watch iPlayer from BBC in Sweden?
If you can, go online and watch “The Animal’s Guide to Britain – Coastal Animals”.
It’s quite interesting, it’s about how animals “see” Britain.
In that Coastal Animals episode, gulls are one of the main “guests”.
