Bejewelled

As many of you know, my world is submerged under white snowstorm skies and a warm blanket of snow at this time of year.

The trick to enjoying a long winter is to capture its treasures.

Bedazzling diamonds glinting in the sun,

Winter twins wearing their diamond tiaras

And there – a miracle!

A ruby jewel lighting up my world.

The latest disaster in Japan shows us that life really is a miracle.

(Healing thoughts go out to all affected in the affected areas.)

  3. I always pause and reflect on your photos, Fi. You capture much more than just a scene. Each has a story to tell. I find a great deal of hope in the last one.

  4. You do have a wonderful way of looking at the world. And I’m holding my breath that things in Japan start getting better. This nuclear stuff is scary.

  7. I could not agree with you more – to enjoy Scandinavian winter, one has to surrender to its enchantment – by finding magic in the simple and seemingly mundane as upon closer look, it is intricate and precious.
What is going on on the other side of the globe causes me anguish and despair too…
Lovely images as always and i share your love for the beauty of nature.

  11. Oh the beauty of those images! Yes, we all should take a moment each day to be thankful for the gifts of the day. It must be so hard for those in Japan.

It does look like sugar frosting.

  15. Dear Fiona, the life is a miracle and I am a blessed woman cause my friends from Sweden wanted to go to Japan, South of Korea and China between february and march and I said to them: NOT…WE CANT GO TO THOSE AREAS…I DREAMD WITH DARK WAVES…
WHEN WE WERE IN URUGUAY I READ ABOUT THE DISASTER AND I CRIED A LOT. CAUSE WE COULD BE THERE DURING THE DISASTER.
I came back home yesterday and I am so sad for the Japanese families…and I to thank to my God…
In 2011 I will exhibit some works. I do not know the gallery yet. Or where it will be but I will present one photo with your name LADY FIONA and more 2 bloggers whose helped me to be who I am.
I have a big new to u…but that I will say you by email.
Nice day, Fiona. Never forget How I love u. How U´re important to me. U, Laura, Bonnie and some of them.
