Baby, it’s cold outside

The trees rise out of the freezing fog —

They look like upside down brooms.

A lone tree stands guard

In the middle of the icy field.

It’s early afternoon and time for the sun to set.

I learn from the dog – and enjoy the moment.

  1. Oh, my…my…my…these photos are spectacular! I particularly love the first one of the freezing fog!!!

You know how much I love winter, so you know how much I enjoy your wintry posts.

It’s been cold here too. And we’ve gotten a good share of snow, and getting more later this week. Last year we hardly had a winter at all, with mild temps and no snow. So, this year is making up for it. And I am soooooooooo happy!

Thanks for sharing the beauty, my friend. Your photos always make me smile 🙂

  2. Dear Ladyship,
especially the first two pictures are GREAT. Great composition and colour management and a kind of minimalistic, just as we like it.
Thank you very much for sharing.

  3. P.S.
We are sooooooooo happy for the snow as well. We were during a little snowstorm at the beach. It was just what we needed. It’s still quite warm here, minus two C only but with a strong wind.

  4. Upside down brooms–lol! Minus seven below (F) right now here. Might not get above zero before the weekend. Dogs know how to enjoy life no matter what. 😉

  8. Such chilly beauty!
It seems like winter has finally arrived in the northern hemisphere. My Grandson has loved playing in the 50cm of fresh snow. [Helen]

  9. Looks like winter is there to stay for a while! And we can learn a lot from dogs – Sophie is the name of my neighbor’s dog, and she comes cross-country skiing with us. She sticks her nose in the snow and throws it up in the air! Pure joy!
