Full moon frost

It’s moving chaos here – but I just wanted to share some photos I took with my mobile phone when I was out on a gorgeous early morning walk just after Christmas. And yes – I was kicking myself for not taking my big camera with me…

As Ruby is at the breeders with her new puppies, we agreed to dogsit a friend’s dog (Ruby’s puppy from last year!) over Christmas and New Year.

We walked through a magical landscape

Of hoar frost and pink skies. It was – 14 C.

The full moon was just setting in the early morning

As the dogs played and zoomed in the snowy fields.

Our dog, Simson, loves the snow – who doesn’t?

I think he looks adorable in his snow beard.

I won’t be able to respond to your comments, but I do wish you all a new year filled with good things – and hope we can all pull together to make the world a kinder place.

  1. Obviously, the size of the camera is not as important as the insight behind the lens. You captured emotion, colour and light with a Who size digital eye (Dr Zeuss-like).

  2. So different than here! I see my “cousin” enjoys the snow. We Goldens are truly everywhere canines. I enjoy the great pics you always post. You share your environment to all our benefits. Your posts are one of the reasons for me making my latest post. It shares my world like you share yours.

  3. Love to see the hoar frost! The cold doesn’t slow them down much–LOL! Your cell phone takes beautiful photos. Moving is exhausting, so glad you could pop by and say hi. I hope it goes smoothly. 🙂

  9. Uh … Simpson, you look absolutely adorable. But some of us would rather see the snow on your face in pictures than experience it in person. Thanks Lady Fi for showing us the beauty of a life well never live ;)))!

  11. Wow, look at all that snow and frost! We’ve barely had a hint of winter here, it’s like we went from autumn straight into spring, it’s so mild. Although, it is feeling a little colder out tonight.
