The key to enjoying a cold climate
Is to embrace it.
It finally started snowing and
The neighbourhood echoed with
Happy cries and drawings by children on the cars.
The snow turned everything to silken
Puffs of cotton wool.
(Can you see that big puddle making a heart?)
It’s still snowing!
And we’re still enjoying
Our dreamy winterland.

What a nice post after the snow. You live in a wonderland of wonderful people it seems.

So true. The key to living in a cold climate is to embrace it as children do. However when at times it embraces you back, can tend to get carried away the love fest.

I love snow. We are having unusually warm and dry weather here in Colorado and while it has been wonderful for bicycling, tennis and other warm weather activities, I look forward to playing in the snow. Wonderful pics, as usual!

Of course, it’s easier to “embrace it” if you love it (like my wife) as opposed to hating it (like I).

I’ll take your word for it. The thing that saves me here in Denver is how many sunny days we get and with climate change (or chaos, depends on who you talk to), I’ve found our cold climate– well, not so cold. (Not that I am happy about the change in climate mind you!) Cheers! Danette

I do love the snow and always feel like a child when big flakes are falling. The only problem with those beautiful flakes is that they amount to feet upon feet of snow by the end of the winter season in New England. Your photo is just the right amount of snow on any given day as far as I’m concerned.

I’m jealous! Christmas without snow is just wrong and I am hoping we will have some this year. We keep getting an inch or so and then it gradually melts away on days we hit into the 30s and 40s. We’re back to no snow again. I’m hoping for a really good snowstorm before Christmas this year. 😉 It looks just beautiful to me and I love the messages in the fluffy snow!! 🙂
