Infinity

I had a wonderful time in England.

My camera battery died but I bought a new one.

It was cold, but I put on my thermal vest.

Golden moments touched every day with joy:

Long overdue family reunions,

Laughter and red wine

And the rolling Sussex countryside

With a sky stretching to infinity.

The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us, and we see nothing but sand;
the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone. — George Eliot

  1. Looks gorgeous and not at all rainy like you hear England is most of the time! Loved the little cottage you see in the first photo…that is how I picture England…I will get there someday 🙂

  2. England is one of the most beautiful and inspiring countries in the world. I have great admiration for the tenacity with which the British survived two worldwars and the bombardments in WW I. Great photos of England.
In the meantime the USA had to face another tornado. I am very sorry for all those people who are affected in Joplin and all the other places. They all show courage and strength.

  4. How beautiful!

Although – * slight panic * – do you normally carry only one camera battery?
So when it dies you don’t have another one and a battery charger and an extra camera with an extra battery? GAH! See how I’m panicking for you?

    1. Thanks for panicking for me… My battery has never died, but I’ve learnt my lesson and will carry a spare as well as my charger!

  5. Isn’t that countryside beautiful. How have they managed to preserve it that way? I’d love to visit there sometime. Meanwhile, I’ll count on your wonderful pictorials.

Glad to hear you had a good time anyway!

  9. Sounds like you are enjoying your trip. It’s so nice to see people you haven’t seen for awhile. I should be seeing my family, including my birth mom, that I haven’t seen for a year in a couple months at a wedding. I wish everyone lived closer!

  12. Hi there – I think that its possible that your pictures could only have been taken in one place in the world. The scale of the hills and woods and building tells you where it is.

I have to say I miss the place!

  13. If there is a country in Europe, after Portugal taht I would like to live it is England…

Fiona, I am spending a long time, every day 6 hours, studying English language ( lecture and conference) and I am really stressed…That´s the reason for me don´t visit the bloggers a lot.
    nice day
