Cue the soundtrack to the film Frozen…
Winter is a time of icicles
And beautiful old windows,
Although this caravan looks
As if it’s waiting for warmer days.
Sometimes winter is all ice
And muted grey pastels;
Or snow beards
On beloved furry faces.

Hello, I love the pretty window. Your furbaby snowy face is adorable. Lovely winter scenes but it looks so cold. Have a happy day and a great new week ahead!

Great post… I am one who loves WINTER…. It’s not all about the weather for me, although you know how much I love snow (yet we get so little here). It’s about a Quieter Season here for us –with no yardwork beckoning… I can get more done inside during winter… Sitting and working on Family History by the fireplace is my idea of pure JOY…..
Thanks for the fabulous Winter pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy

WOW! GLORIOUS photographs, Fiona! Being a winter lover, I could look at images like this all year long. That first one of the window is absolutely stunning. It has such a beautiful “dreamy” quality. We haven’t had much snowfall at all so far. I’m hoping the next two months bring in TONS. 🙂
Thanks for sharing the beauty, my friend!
P.S. Your furbaby is adorable!

I’m still smiling at the snow beard. So sweet and such a retriever thing. Good idea to look at frosted windows, I’ve not been able to catch a good icicle or building shot, but when I was in search of them kept coming across deer. I like the new look and Ruby snatching snowflakes illustrates how dogs have the best attitude towards weather. Well, most dogs. I’ve had to carry my little Teddy Bear friend zipped up in my jacket on more than one occasion.

Snow beards – I laughed out loud. So many men on our ski hill have beards, and they are coated in ice by the time they come in for a lunch break. They claim ice is a good insulator!

Our climate is not so hard as to have icicles at sea level. However, when I go to the mountain, at high altitudes, I find those beautiful lollipops.
The photos are great and the dog … very handsome.
