Beautiful brevity

The sakura, or Japanese cherry blossoms,

Remind us that life is short and beautiful.

Buds and blossoms thrive

On the same branch – and so can we if we really try.

The pink froth of the petals

Reminds us that time and blossoms are fleeting, fragile and fabulous.

  1. So beautiful, Fi, making me want to post something about my ornamental crabapple trees. I’m not the photographer you are, but I’m enthusiastic about Spring… March winds and April showers are certainly bringing forth May flowers.

  2. Oh, I love that. Life is short and beautiful. I have a frig magnet with another quote I just love–Life is short, but it’s wide.
    Have a great week. 🙂

  3. Beautiful words, beautiful photographs, Fiona! They’re stunning! I especially love the first one because of the contrast of the pink blossoms against the blue sky!

Cherry blossoms always remind me of the time I spent living in Japan!

Have a lovely week, my friend!

  4. the cherry blossoms are so beautiful. Maybe next year I can take this kind of shots in my town. Katrineholm is 100 years old this year and the town are planting 100 cherry blossom trees. Will be nice to see how that will work 🙂
