Frosted trees

As winter is disappearing,

I want to savour the most beautiful parts:

Hoarfrosted trees.jpg

The delicacy of silvered trees,

Covered in hoar frost and

Slung against the canvas of a blue, blue sky;

Brighttrees.jpg

And little, red cottages

Snug in snowy pillows.

  73. Nature makes such fantastical monuments, which causes me to wonder at times. Why humankind gazes upwards and outwards beyond the sky. When the heavens face them directly dead on. To steal a line from Woody Guthrie, and then re-purpose in another way -these monuments of lights , ‘ a bring your own god to church’ kinda place. Am not religious, per say, but images of natural happenings is ‘spiritual enlightenment’. Irrational ?
