Peace, returned

Canoe believe how beautiful the sky is —

With pastel swirls and the lone paddler?

Pinks and purples colour the lake,

Making the drops of water from the paddle glow like jewels.

Water drops

After a while, the ripples fade,

The sky grows darker and more beautiful,

And peace returns.

  3. Ladyfi! I would say that you’re quite lucky to be able to witness such dramatic sky… week after week! We don’t get to see these shades in our part of the world. max shades of yellow to dark orange! Thanks for posting beautiful pictures for everyone!

  4. These are all lovely in your signature tones of pink and purple! So lovely to see the silhouette of the solitary canoe and to see the peace restored after he paddled out of sight.

  5. I cannot help but think of this a ‘Knock Knock’ joke. The images do put a smile on my face, as well as evoking you know what -that sweet sigh. And deliciously un-urban. Better that one lives in it then to escape to it. Better to paddle through then out or around. When I see such images and places, I think star gazers are missing the big picture if you know what mean.

  6. It would be so amazing to be in the boat rowing out under such a glorious sky, but you were there to capture it. He probably didn’t have as much fun returning.
