The first frost

Last week saw us with minus temperatures

And a hard frost on the ground.

Yellow tree

It was the kind of morning that is a gift —

With crisp air and a light that made the yellow leaves

Glow like chandeliers.

Tree

Simson found new energy

In the cold.

Simmie

Ruby and I sat on a frosty bench

And listened to the falling leaves —

They sounded like rain.

Ruby listening

I do love autumn, don’t you?

  66. Beautiful pictures ! yes it’s getting cold now ! I was freezing this morning ! Don’t feel sorry for the animals in this zoo ! It isn’t really a zoo. The animals come first and the enclosures are so big that sometimes you can’t even see what animal should be in there. There are no fences neither, either it is water or tree trunks. They have rescued elephants and tigers from circuses which were in an awful state and lead now a happy life. I have never seen a “zoo” which respects animals and their natural way of life as this one !

Yes landscapes are beautiful, but it always bring me sadness when fully growing healthy plants succumb to frosts and winter. But of course that is their fate, and every phase is always beautiful in photos, like yours.
