The longest day (and shortest night)
Threw the sun against
The golden bowl of the sky
And wrapped up the lake
In ribbons of cloud.
Gone half past ten at night
And still light.
An infinity of reflected beauty.

Sweden is so beautiful, so special and I am so glad I found your blog so I can enjoy the incredible pictures you post here. The maypole in your previous post brought tears to my eyes. I don’t like to look back, but I can’t help myself and get homesick for Sweden this time of year.

Sometimes I think the reflected sunsets are even more beautiful than the original! The water seems to intensify the colors. I love the tranquility that just washes over me from your photos – just the barest of ripples on that water, and I’ve officially run out of superlatives for your skies. 🙂

Lovely night shots. Our sunsets get to be 9:30ish, but I can’t imagine it still being light at 10:30. Or light all the time 24 hours a day like it can be far enough north. Do you get some darkness? Or are you that far north that it stays that way all night?
LikeLike
We get darkness for about 3 hours at the peak of summer. You have to be north of the Arctic Circle to get the real midnight sun.
