While out walking on the frozen lake,
The snow muffling all sound
So that the day was as quiet as the light
That suddenly poured forth from the dramatic clouds
And revealed the reflection of
Nature’s own stained glass window
Laid out at my feet on the snow.
Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. ~John Muir

I can’t look at snow any more and that is just after our couple of bad spells earlier in the year. Lovely photo of the sky and trees though :p

Lady Fi, I have done some research and am able to confirm that the first building in my post is indeed a mosque, on the grounds of the school. Students from other schools have been invited to the school and were given a tour of the mosque. I have updated my post.

A stunning photo! And your poetry is beautiful. Our snow is all gone, now, but we could still have more. I think the snow in Sweden is prettier than the snow in Minnesota! I don’t know why but I do.

The sky, , the sun peeking through the trees, the reflection on the snow… this is truly a majestic photo.
