A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked.
Anais Nin
I’ve been bottling the sunlight and catching dazzling rainbows to take out and enjoy when winter seems long.
I’ve collected diamonds from the snow and weaved them into a necklace for you.
If we take the time to look around, we can find our joy – every day.
How are you going to fill your heart with happiness today?
Oh baby, send some of those rays my way. The weatherman said this morning we haven’t had sun for seven days.
Have a wonderful day sweetie!!!

Well mine just became happier because I just heard that someone I’ve longed to meet is coming tomorrow 🙂 🙂 I still feel weak though and not entirely well…. so I hope that it will all be magically better tomorrow 🙂
Oh how I miss seeing grass.

Thank you for the diamonds.
My joy today comes from some very old, but very sweet memories, and writing about them.

Love the rays…. I enjoyed them in my front yard today after days of gray, gloomy skies and a cold that kept me in bed. Today was the day to enjoy my daffodils.

Sunny in this part of the world, too. And I saw my first lupin — a sure sign of spring. Looking forward to seeing more photos of your beautiful land as it unthaws.

Nice reminder to look around and appreciate what is right in front of us. This morning I didn’t get right up when I woke up, I found myself enjoying listening to the sweet singing of the birds outside the window and it lulled me back to sleep for another hour. What a treat.

Oh dear, with a day like I had yesterday, I forget to look for happiness. Perhaps I’ll see it sticking its head round a corner as I take temperatures, dole out doses, clean up doggy mess and arrange yet more LemSip!

It’s beautiful spring weather here at the moment and all my hyacinths have finally flowered. I’m planning on getting on with some deadheading this afternoon – this means that it is probably going to rain.
Lovely photos as always, Fi.

Lovely photos Lady Fi..are you renting that cottage place at the lake again..or did you purchase it? You still have so much snow..we are getting an early spring..the snow is almost all gone:)

Lots of snow here, but gradually melting…
I don’t think we’re renting it this year as the owner wants far too much money… A shame as it was truly delightful!
