Near my mother’s house in England
There’s a small slice of heaven:
A garden so filled with hollyhocks
That it is a riot of colours.
I’d love to walk down this
Aisle of petals, wouldn’t you?

I used to grow a lot of them in my mother’s garden. Mine always liked to lean over at an angle of forty-five degrees which made it rather difficult to negotiate the garden path. These look positively upright citizens compared to mine.

Simply glorious.
Wind knocks ours to the ground. I have found a dwarf variety so I can enjoy the beauty on lower scale.

This is not a color I often see you indulge in, beautiful! I thought the lens was heavier than the longer range, cheaper zoom I use but I could see the difference right off.

Lady Fi – this is one of the many things I love about England – a random garden that just stuns you with “disorderly” beauty, the best kind!

What a stunning hollyhock heaven display – it’s been a great year generally for flowers in the UK, and always something that I love the most on my return enjoying looking at everyone’s gardens! This is gorgeous.
