Kick-starting the new year

It has been a weird and wonderful start

To the new year – weather-wise.

First – mild and rainy,

The cold is beautiful!

Then icy with delicious snow,

And now mild and rainy again.

This snow is delicious, mum!

  7. We’ve had some snow and some freezing rain. Except for icy sidewalks, it is wonderful. I do love winter. 🙂

  17. It’s certainly a beautiful start. It’s strange to hear about winter rain that far north – we won’t see any for five months of the year, even at our latitude (39 degrees).

  19. As much as I love our bouncing little Bonnie-Belinda dog, my heart skips a beat whenever I see a picture of one of your dogs, Fi. There’s nothing quite as wonderful as a Golden.

  20. Fiona, it’s been the same kind of winter here in the US – one week it will be extremely mild (warm and humid) as if it’s spring. Then one week it will be cold, gray and wet. It’s been like a yo-yo. I love winter (and I mean a COLD winter), but we haven’t had much of a winter so far. I’m hoping the next few months are more “winter-like.”

    GORGEOUS photographs, my friend! I especially love the first one because it look VERY cold 🙂
