I agree with you about pops of color cheering up a dark winters day … but even without the orange boat, your view looks anything but gloomy (even if the dog weren’t there, it would still be beautiful). Beautiful photos — I love mirror images!

I once read something that said to look for the colour mauve in the winter months. It is there amongst the browns, grays, and blacks and it is so pretty. Now, I never think that winter is colourless.
