Sauna house portraits

If autumn could be summed up in a picture, it would be this one:

Golden leaves, the sauna house and Ruby posing by the water.

Simmie would rather explore

And swim than pose.

A week later, even more leaves have fallen off the trees,

Like whispers, and I see another portrait of the sauna house

Peeking out from behind the leaves.

  2. Do you use the sauna, Fi? I can’t remember seeing it before. Now, I’ll look for it in your photos as winter approaches. The pups are photogenic as usual.

    1. The sauna was built by members of the caravan club and only used by them… (Unfortunately). But I do like the extra photogenic element it gives my photos!

  5. “Hey, person in the Sauna house, what do you see out of you window?”
” The breathtaking beauty of mother nature, the fallen leaves that promise a new era, the silent ripples in the water and my dear Ruby.”
“Hey, city guy, what do you see out?”
“Why do you even ask? I see my peeping neighbour, hundreds of skyscrapers, multiplexes, noisy cars, smoke, frowning people and the daily hustle-bustle of the maddening urban. And you know what, I am very busy now. I have been working on my PC since hours!!! Bye.”
Awesome shots. Thank you Lady Fi. I really want to spend some time there.💟

  6. Such pretty pictures. My husband’s family had a home in n. Michigan and had a sauna house.
Thank you so much for visiting with me. I hope you enjoy the rest of the week.

  7. Fun t o see what difference each week makes this time of year! No matter what week it is, it is beautiful around your home however! I would love to own a sauna house! We used to have a fake (electric) one in our home here in Oregon.

  8. The first image looks picture-perfect, simply gorgeous. Beautiful landscape gradually muted in colors. A sauna house by the lake looks typical to Sweden.

  9. Though I associate saunas with Finland and it’s expats, there is no question that this one in the picture warms up the portrait of Autumn. I often dub landscapes as portraits, after all Nature is usually, and rightfully so, the main subject -everything else elements of the story. These picture put me in my place, that being, I am, we are, smaller in the scheme of things. I guess the word would be ‘humbling’. And on that note, we had our first snow last night, 2cm; talk about humbling.

      1. True enufffff. Sometimes subtle, like a dotting grandmother. Sometime ferocious like a cosmic tiger. Either way she gets her point across. And yet….well you know the rest of the story.
