Although we often judge people, countries, cities
On outward appearances, there is far more to us
Than meets the eye.
Despite current political rhetoric and media
That would have us believe we are each other’s enemies,
I truly believe that there is far more that unites us as humans.
We just need to make sure we remember that.
So, here’s to no more hate and a lot more love!
(New York looks good from the New Jersey side at sunset!)

This is the Manhattan skyline as seen from New Jersey. I’m not a big fan of cities, but I do like this skyline. Especially in the last shot.

Beautiful photos to commemorate a dark day in the history of the world. Most of us can still remember where we were, and what we were doing, on that fateful day, just as people of my generation can also remember where we were when John F. Kennedy was shot. Isn’t it sad that the good die young, and the evil lives on and on?
Interesting, too, that some people don’t even recognize the city. In North America, even here in Canada, that skyline is very familiar to many.
Thanks for another day (week) of Our World, Fiona. I’m sure all of us appreciate the time and effort you put into it.
