Autumn is leave-ing

November is a grey month, so you have to look hard for colour.

I found it here

In a red leaf with rain in the background.

Rain copy

A flash of gold

Reminds me that we have to hang on

And have hope at this time of year.

Lone leaf

In the right light,

Even an ageing leaf

Can look like a stained glass window.

Hanging on copy

“Don’t leaf me!” Ruby seems to be saying,

As we wave farewell to autumn.

Don't leaf me

  5. November details are amazing, the grey of atmosphere is far, and also, the skies of Venice (in previous post) are stunning… Love the “flambeed” as a term for their colorful description… Ruby is so lovely, too!! A great week!

  6. You did find a lot of color to celebrate the end of Autumn and the beginning of Winter…. I love all four seasons here –and we try to keep a little color in our yard with our sweet little Winter Pansies in Winter… Love my Pansies.

  7. I see you were in my neighbourhood taking your pictures on the same fence as me under the title: The Rusty Fence! It goes so well with leaves, doesn’t it?!!

  8. The last few leaves are clinging to the branches. You managed to find the last remnants of the colours of Autumn with the help of Ruby, of course.

  10. Beautiful photo of the leaf with the drop of water! We have plenty of colour here, as most of the plants are in their second blooming season. It is the summer that I dread!
