Fire and ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.

From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
By Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Gorgeous pictures, and love the poem-I bought my husband a book of Robert Frost poems for Christmas-will have to crack it open.

Great photos! Robert Frost is one of my favorites – this one’s interesting. I choose to focus on the fiery passion and temperatures of the heart vs. the destruction.

I don’t know which would be worse..but I guess that either way dead would be dead.. Frost is so eloquent:)

Lovely! Give me fire and give me ice. Fire to light the darkness and ice to cool my drink, a toast to you and your family for a very happy New Year, filled with magic and whimsy and all things of good nature.

Hi,
Thanks for popping over to my blog. Yes, the cold of France doesn’t compare with the cold of Sweden. It was about -10 this morning on the east of Paris, which is very cold for me. The temperature should rise after the weekend.
I’ve enjoyed having a looksee at your blog. I’ve only been to Stockholm once and that was for a long weekend when my son was about 4 years old. He is very blond so everyone thought he was Swedish. We visited the Vasa museum which my son loved (as did we).

Beautiful photos; strangely enough I like the last one the most and I don’t like winter or ice much. So that’s how beautiful the picture is.
