Moments of brightness

Sun filters through the red jewels

Of leaves intermingling with flowers – on the same tree!

Beyond the dry leftover leaves,

You can spy the little sauna house against an emerald background.

And, of course, no outing is complete

Without a sunset and a dog or two.

  1. Love, love, love the first photograph of the leaves intermingling with flowers. It’ such a stunning capture! It almost looks like a combination of Autumn and Spring growing at the same time. In fact, each one of these beautiful images appears as though the seasons are converged into one. Which is so ironic because over the years, that’s exactly what’s happened to the seasons (the climate)–slowly, they all seem to be happening at the same time, with no distinct separation.

Thanks so much for sharing the beauty, my friend! Have a fantastic week! 🙂

  3. I love the first image where the old leaves and the new flowers are both spotlighted in their lives. The bokeh effect of the second photo is superb.

  4. Stunning set of pictures. Has the summer finally arrived in your part of the world? I’m sorry, I don’t get where you live…Sweden or UK?

  5. I like seeing your green and the blossoms. The view of the sauna house is perfect. I hear that it’s still snowing at my house in Breckenridge. I’m still at the beach, thank goodness!

  6. Lady Fi – that is exactly how our Norway maple looks at the moment – delicate and bold, all at the same time. Love the different vantage point of the sauna house …. Enjoy the waning days of May!
