Blue-tiful blues

May started off with hail and snow

And snow-covered hail.

That didn’t stop the

Vibrancy of the purple bells.

Down at the lake, the blue velvet water

Matches the blue of the boat.

Cold temperatures don’t stop us

From enjoying ourselves, however!

It’s never too cold for a swim.

  1. Glad the hail didn’t harm the flowers. Water dogs will brave the cold for a dip. That boat looks like it has seen better days–LOL! πŸ˜‰

  2. HA! Fiona, I love your clever post title! Priceless!

The color you captured of the purple bells is stunning! How beautiful they are.

Love the blue water as well!

Thanks so much for sharing the beauty, my friend. Have a fantastic week! πŸ™‚

  3. Hello, pretty flowers. The lake views are lovely. I always enjoy seeing your pretty dogs. Great photos. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

  4. Beautiful blues. Love the stand of grape hyacinths too. (As a child I misheard their name and called them grey pythons, wondering at the silliness of adults who gave them the name).

  5. Fabulous blues …
    Fabulous series of photographs.

    Enjoy your week.

    All the best Jan

  6. I like how you don’t let the weather dictate whether you see beauty or not. These are great shots.

  7. Same here in Ohio. Weather cannot make up its mind. One day Spring teases and then Winter blows some cold air back in. And the rain has been ridiculous. Love the grape hyacinth and of course your furbabies always great models. Lots of pretty blues in your photos today. πŸ™‚

  8. Never too cold for a swim if you are a furry puppy dog who loves water, but it would definitely be too cold for a swim for ME! But soon, when the water warms up a bit!

  9. Dogs can’t resist a good splash about. And they would like to state for the record that despite what we might think, the smell of wet dog is not a bad thing. πŸ™‚

  10. Those dogs! Nothing stops them. Your blues are definitely blue-tiful! Lovely skies and the deep blue of the brave little flowers blooming away in the cold. Heavenly!
