Landscape of clouds

If you google ‘Dutch landscape paintings’, you’ll find paintings where fabulous swirls of clouds are the focus (rather than the landscape itself).

I can see why after snapping this shot (on my mobile phone) from a fast-moving car on the way to Zwolle from Amsterdam.

It was raining, but the trees in the fading light were stunning.

    It reminds me of landscape painter John Constable, images of clouds on many paintings. He makes the cows in fields seem like an afterthought – ha!

    SO lovely.
    It can be so challenging to see things we want to photograph when there is no time or place to stop driving to capture it.
