Magical freezing fog

Last weekend, we had some magical freezing fog.

The dogs were covered in hoar frost,

And the little sauna house

Nestled cozily on the icy lake.

Ruby posed in the mist —

She’ll do anything for a treat! πŸ˜‰

All shots taken with frosted fingers and my mobile phone.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous….. The freezing fog and hoar frost are beautiful –just as pretty as snow…. Glad your doggies love that ‘freezing stuff’…. Bet your fingers were frosty!!!!!!

  2. Oh, … wonderful, lovely views; stunning snowy images!!! and pretty Ruby, so sweet how is she posing for a treat! πŸ™‚ I like all the pictures, the winter light captured and aspects, as well! Winter is for sure, magical… I’m waiting for some snow to come soon, if it will be possible. Till now, there is no sign… πŸ™‚
    A lovely new week!

  3. Being a lover of Winter, these images are pure perfection of how I see Winter to be. πŸ™‚

WOW!!!!! GLORIOUS captures, Fiona! I especially love the one of the sauna house and icicles on the trees.

And thank you for sharing the beauty!

  4. I read the one comment, FYI, my fingers are warm, All photos viewed on tablet indoors and still look gruntable. Thanks for risking frost bite.

  5. Are you using that little sauna house? I lost one of my photo gloves but then again we’ve had plenty of days when I haven’t needed them. This may be my favorite series yet. Wonderful Ruby pose, she’s channeling her inner wolf. I think it’s brilliant how you used the branches to frame the shot instead of shooting around them and you used your phone, OMG, I’m struggling with my new camera and have yet to get a decent shot.

  6. Wow! I wonder if anywhere here ever gets weather like that? Maybe Tasmania – but not last week!

  7. What a magical background to those gorgeous dogs. They don’t seem to mind the cold. Not sure I would be so inclined to stand around taking photos but glad that you did. .

  8. Very creative and well done photography of a beautiful nature subject ~ Doggies, though, steal the show! Love them!

    Happy Week to you,

  9. It looks very cold ! Would be better for us, we have rain every day since 2 months and lots of people have a cold or the flu the temperatures are also too high 7-12 and the first flowers come out. Not good. Your pictures are very beautiful !
