Life lessons

The beginning of a new year is often time to take stock:

I don’t make resolutions as they tend to go in one year and out of the other!

But I do hope that I grow and learn a bit every day. Here are some of those lessons:

Make the most of those festive moments with people you love – you don’t know how long they will last.

Try out new perspectives and angles;

Remember to enjoy the view

And have some fun (even if you look silly);

And, finally, take the time to dwell on what you have

Rather than on what you don’t have.

Carpe diem!

And don’t forget Skywatch.

    I feel exactly the same way, Fiona 🙂 I try to take each year as it comes, leaving myself open to learn and grow. To me, no year is a bad year, they are just what they are – years of learning.

    AWESOME photographs!

    Joyous New Year, my friend!

  5. You say So much in a few words. I especially liked this: I don’t make resolutions as they tend to go in one year and out of the other!

    And your photos – well, it’s true – One picture is worth a thousand words. Happy New Year, Fiona!

  6. Great suggestions and insights all. Thanks as always for sharing your view. It took a while to discover that life is more about savoring the moments than looking ahead for those perfect endings. 🙂

  13. Beautiful photos. I like the last one too. The dog looks full of joy. I learned in your comment reply that you have two dogs who look similar. I remember seeing a photo of the two of them together and thinking it was a photographic trick, lol. Happy New Year Lady Fi!

  14. We can all ‘take a memo’ from our pets. They live in the moment, they love unconditionally, and they have so much fun! Thanks for the wise words and Happy New Year!

  16. Amazing summary of extremely essential life lessons. The one that stood out to me the most is being appreciative of what one has rather than one what does not have. This is truly life changing.
