Small villages around England compete
In the ‘Best Flowers’ competition every summer.
And Bramber is no exception.
The facades of pubs and inns
Are decked out in glorious technicoloured blooms.
Watering the flowers is quite a challenge —
You start from the top and let the water run down.
Even the windows of the building housing
The public toilets are decked out in petalled finery.
(And yes – Bramber has won the competition several times.)
For more flowery goodness, please visit: Our World.
Good Morning. I would dearly love to visit here in person. I love the architecture and these colorful flowers. Your photos are simply gorgeous.

Breath-taking and fanciful, Lady Fi!
My daughter surprised me with two pots of cream-colored petunias this week, and one red-violet and burgundy mixed. Like you, I cannot live without beauty.

This is so beautiful. I remember we stayed at a B&B in Moffet (Not sure of the correct spelling) England whose 3 stories had multiple window boxes overflowing with beautiful flowers. It was lovely.

Very pretty, indeed. All these plants remind me of a story I recently saw about China combating pollution by growing vertical forests up skyscraper walls.

That is really beautiful and the village definitely deserves to win. I have a powerful urge at this moment to spend the evening watching “midsomer murders’ or some wonderful old Brit-coms — just to check out the village flowers.

Out lilttle town is in a nation-wide competition each year– The result is not quite as grand as this, though.

Did I already say “how beautiful?” If not…how beautiful! and if I did, it bears saying again. I think I’m going to use my Facebook post for Our World today. Or at least take a look at it and give the situation a re-think. Lindy hasn’t moved from her bed all day. Sigh. K

Seeing all those lovely flowers makes me want to go out to the florist and get a nice bunch of tulips. It’s still very grey here, no spring flowers yet, and I need to add some colour to my life. England certainly has the right climate to keep the flowers moist.

It’s a delight to see all those blooms while it’s snowing hard here in Breckenridge. We have lots of town flowers in the summer after the snow finally stops. However, those buildings adorned top to bottom are definitely spectacular.
