The sun has set

The sun has set for the last time –

Leaving behind the beauty of a life well lived,

And a man much loved.

(I’m taking a break from this blog for a couple of weeks due to my father’s passing.

I’ll read your comments, but not reply.)

  6. “The beauty of a life well lived and a man much loved”, Lovely words, keep them in your heart where your father will reside forever.
I once read some beautiful words uttered by a man whose mother had died. He said: “She is no longer where she was, but she is everywhere I go.” The love remains and the sweet memories nurture our hearts and souls.
Your beautiful sunset picture is perfect to represent your father’s life. See the small ‘cloud’ of flying birds in the distance as they soar high in the sky
which suggests the freedom of a human soul liberated from a worldly life well-lived.
Sending you all my thoughts at this time.

  10. I’m so sorry sweetheart. If it’s any comfort I lost my father a few years ago and dream of him every night. I often wake up thinking he’s still with us and I suppose he is. Your grief is a tribute and his memory is a gift. (Don’t mean to sound like a greeting card but I believe this to be true.)
