Early morning sparkles

This is a tale of an early morning walk —

When the light of dawn turned reeds into glittery beauties.

Sparkles.jpg

A dog (Simmie) ran joyously out of the lake

Sprinkling water everywhere.

Wet dog.jpg

Later on, when he shook to dry himself,

Rainbow jewels of water flew into the air.

Rainbow drops.jpg

We met some sheep with yellow earrings;

They said, “Here’s looking at ewe!”

(Sorry about the baa-d joke.)

Ewes.jpg

On the way home, we breathed in the beauty

Of autumn tints reflected.

(All those fallen trees are the work of the beavers who live by the shore.)

  41. “She is free in her wildness, she is a wanderess, a drop of free water. She knows nothing of borders and cares nothing for rules or customs. … Her life flows clean, with passion, like fresh water.” -Roman Payne.

“I know a girl from whose body sunbeams rose to the clouds as if they’d fallen from the sun.
Her laugh was like a bangle of bells.
“Your hair is wet,” I told her one day, “Did you take a bath?”
“It is dew!” she laughed, “I’ve been lying in the grass. All morning long, I lay here waiting for the dawn.”
    -Roman Payne.

Taken out of context, or maybe not. These to passages by Payne define Dawn at least to my way of thinking. And your photos and words every bit as defining; as well as refining.
