By the time you read this, we will have received the keys to our new (and bigger) house and I’ll be busy moving.
We’re not moving far – only 2.5 km away – but the lake won’t be right on my doorstep. No more rushing out in sun and rain to record my favourite jetty.
We will still be living near the same lake (but further south) – it’s about a kilometre walk away from the new house. So, I hope to find new views to photograph and share with you.
This jetty has been such an inspirational part of the last sixteen years and I’ll be sad to move – but happy that we have found something more suited to the needs of our family now.
The next week or so will be very busy, so please forgive me if I don’t get round to visiting you. In the meantime, please do keep in touch with me via Facebook. You’ll find me here: Lady Fi on Facebook.

All I can say is your move will simply give you another point of view for your camera lens. You sound excited but a little bit wistful about your move. We now live in a big house with 18 oak trees – too much maintenance for us, so we aim to downsize, possibly this year. Best wishes as you make the transition, Lady Fi!

Sorry to hear you are leaving the jetty and happy that you have found a great new place for you and your family. I got a promotion last year which was great but had to move from my cubicle with a huge window view of the Arkansas River and the Osage Hills that I had for 12 years for an office with four beige walls. I go back and borrow my window from time to time.

I was a bit behind (life has been busy here, as well) and had to go back and catch up with you.. congrats on your new home! We’ve been in the same place for 17 years, with talk of moving one day.
