The view from our jetty
Is sometimes alive with colour and mist and geese.
Sometimes, it offers minimalism
And quiet contemplation.
One of my favourite moments
Is when the mist leaches the world of colour
And flings me right into the middle
Of a Chinese silk painting.

If I did not know better, I would think that last was an authentic silk painting. All so beautifully capture the moods of Autumn on the water. And because of the last one particularly, I will be looking with fresh eyes at gray misty days.
