It was a lovely day for a walk:
The rising sun cast a pink glow on the thousand-year-old rune stone.
Ruby enjoyed the wooden throne
Carved out of an old tree trunk.
Winter made berries luscious
With a sugar-coating of ice,
And turned a tarpaulin
Into a work of art.
Someone with a sense of humour
Wrote ‘sign’ on a snow-covered sign!
It was a lovely day for a walk —
And I think Ruby enjoyed it too.

Love the rune rock. How amazing that it is still there, and in such good condition. Do you know what it signifies?

The text says that the wife and sons raised the rock in honour of the father, who was a powerful man in the area a thousand years ago.

I wonder what the divining stone is saying. It is always so interesting to ponder the communications of ancient man. Ruby looks as if she is in a trance … perhaps contemplating a psychic reading of her own.
