The wisdom of dogs

Dogs can teach us many lessons in life:

Test new waters – don’t be afraid to try new things,

Love unconditionally and be yourself,

Love

Always always live each moment to its fullest

And don’t be afraid of silliness (it’s fun)!

  1. All great points, especially the one that says don’t be afraid of silliness. I suppose much like our pets the trick is to not contemplate that this or that behavior might be considered silly by some. 🙂

  2. Beautiful shots of the dogs, what fun to have two of them to play and be silly together at the moment.
I would add that they know the importance of a good meal…..the only time my three look remotely serious 🙂

    1. Ruby is Oscar’s great-granddaughter. She’s 4.5 years old and we’re fostering her until she goes back to the breeders for pups. Then the plan is that we get her back!

  3. Great words and photos, Fiona… YES—we certainly can learn from dogs…. One of the most important things we could learn from them is the unconditional love —all of the time.

  4. I fully agree.
We have a little magnet for our fridge that I love. It says, “To err is human. To forgive is canine.”
We have much to learn from these fine four-legged friends!

  6. Their courage is amazing…I have always said…if I had half of what our Dalton has we would be even stronger. We drove up thru a McDonalds drive up last night, and Dalton decides to make a flying leap from the passenger seat out the drivers window…asking for a treat!! He could of been so hurt…but he is a foodie and has lots of courage…LOL!

  7. I love the pictures and the words that go along with it. Trying new waters, being silly, being happy. All these might sound simple, but people hardly put them into practice. Loved this post 🙂

  8. I have learned so much about unconditional love, living in the moment, playing while old, and never forgetting to eat my dinner, from our dogs.
