Of leaves and swimming

It continues mild here for the time of year,

So, you won’t need too many layers as you join us for a walk.

Let’s start off with a refreshing swim.

First swim

As the sun rises over the horizon, it creates

Copper mosaics,

Sun through tree

And electricity lines glow like

Golden necklaces

Lines

While the leaves on the birch trees

Shine like luminous earrings.

Luminous leaves

Breathe deeply – this is where we get our energy from.

Enough energy to finish off our long walk

With a splash.

Splash

  3. Oscar, you are like a little golden ray of sunshine! I think I need to send Miss Sophie to visit, so you can teach her water appreciation.

The autumn leaves have been fantastic this year and I am so grateful that we have seen them for so long. We have just caught the beginning of Stormen Simone down here, so batten the hatches as it’s blowing and raining hard.

  5. I don’t think I’ll join Oscar in the lake even if you say it’s “mild!” Seeing that rising sun and breathing the fresh air – that I’d love to do. Fabulous shots, Fi.

  7. These places we walk with you, these experience bestowed upon us, that happen in a heart beat; simple splendor of nature’s serendipity .Who could not walk this path with us an not ‘grunt’ in admiration, becoming immersed in the exhilaration of it all. I would hope there would be no one on this earth, but I fear there is, and that is troubling.

  8. We’ve had a bit of Indian Summer here. I hope we get sun every once in a while through the winter months. Clouds all the time can really get me know. – Margy

  9. Breath deeply – I’m going to think of that always from now on!
Wonderful that you (and Oscar) are still able to enjoy this time of year so fully. Our waters are starting to ice over, no more swimming here!
    Have a wonderful day!
