Catching stars

As you probably know, I was lucky enough to ‘borrow’ a friend’s island for a couple of days to do some work for him.

You have to row over from the mainland…

It’s well worth it: the first thing you see is this pretty cottage.

There was plenty of time for relaxation,

Contemplation about the simple things in life,

And gazing at the sunset.

Sunset

A lot of work was done —

And best of all, we even caught some stars.

I’m away in the England for the next week, so won’t be around much. I’ve got some automated posts in case you want to pop around here again…

  1. Just sucking it up, I won’t say much. No need to. What I can say that the photo’s haven’t already expressed.

  4. This reminds me of our cabin in northern Ontario.. you have to get there by water, also – the water and sun and quiet are bliss!
Lovely photos, and happy travels to England!

  8. Wow, how perfect! That cottage is so pretty and inviting. Love the starry sparkles on the water! Looks like such a relaxing, peaceful place I’d have a hard time holding up my end of the bargain and getting any work done. 🙂 Enjoy that “Island Time” – there’s nothing like it!
