Playing with light

I love the way you can hold

The summer light in your hands

Arc-light

And pour it over

Wild fields of clover.

Beautiful clover

The light gives a perfect auburn background

For a lone flower in the sunset.

Lovely flower copy

It caresses a tree trunk

With liquid honey

Golden trunk

That spreads out to catch

The glow of a single shining strand

Of beauty.

This is peace. This is love. This is Nature.

Single shining strand

  3. This is what I’ve been missing all summer! I can probably count on less than one hand the golden hour days that were actually golden, rather than cloud covered or raining, in weeks and weeks and weeks. Thank you for sharing yours!

  5. The first photo of that gorgeous girl holding the light and reflecting it stopped me in my tracks! Such beauty captured. I love the poetry of your words and your images. They are all stunning. But the girl with the light just takes my breath away.

  14. A marvellous series of captures illustrating so beautifully the use (and importance) of light in photography. My favourite is the sun kissing the tree trunk! ….. I so appreciate that time of day when late afternoon sun caresses the countryside! Thanks for sharing your wonderful talents Fi, and for making time to call by my blog.
