Singing in the sun

My daughter is singing at The Royal Wedding today, Saturday, with her class.

(Princess Madeleine, second daughter of the King and Queen of Sweden, is marrying New Yorker, Chris O’Neill.)

Yesterday, she was all geared up for the dress rehearsal

And in a happy mood.

Of course, Oscar had to escort her to the station

To make sure she got to the church on time.

As you can imagine,it’s a busy weekend so please excuse me if I don’t get round to visiting you.

UPDATE: If you’re interested in seeing the class’ performance, then you can see a short video here.

  1. Oh, what a delightful, happy post for the day, Fiona! I love it and it was just the smile I needed!! My blog problems and inability to post have finally defeated me and I’m giving up, but I will continue to visit and comment! Hope you have a great weekend,

  3. How wonderful. I loved her happy dance, and the video from the wedding was a joy. Such glorious voices – and if I am not mistaken the groom was a little overtaken by emotion too. Beautiful.
    Thank you.

  5. When your daughter is all grown up, and has grandchildren of her own…you can imagine her telling the tale of the time she sang for the Princess.

How wonderful to have this chance.

  6. Fantastic shot of your happy daughter. I was in Manhattan for a wedding this weekend and I watched the late night news and they had some good shots from the wedding your daughter sang at.
