Frosted delight

Come and let’s take a walk through my enchanted world.

In the early morning, the freezing temperatures

Create art out of silver beeches

Trees

And the hoar-frosted trees frame

The pyramid of the swings at the end of our street.

Hoar frost swings

Once out on the lake, I walk past

An enchanted red boat house

Hiding among frosted branches.

Zooming out with my lens, I see the boat house

Belongs to this summer cottage

Patiently waiting for warmer days.

As for me, I’m enjoying the last cold days

Of magical hoar frost and ice.

  3. I just love the little “wilderness” of your back yard. 🙂 That first photo is especially beguiling – the trees seem to be enticing us to walk down that natural lane between us to see what treasures lay beyond.

Love the little splash of dignified red on that charming wee cottage.

  7. I love your magical pics and poetry. I think we had the AC off for about 2 weeks total this past winter. And today is SO hot I’ve taken 3 showers already!!! Seeing your pics has really cooled me down – thanks!

  8. gorgeous images and words. I wish I was walking in that snow. The summer cottage looks so lonely (and peaceful) – waiting for its summer guests.
