A boatful of gold

There is something special about the early autumn light:

A clarity that turns spider webs into pearls,

And leafy loveliness into stained glass windows.

It takes the first leaves of autumn

And turns them into amber beauty

And just before the sun sets

It fills the boats with liquid gold.

  1. I haven’t taken any pictures of the leaves changing here. I am not quite ready to commemorate it- but the beauty of autumn is stunning nonetheless and you’ve captured it brilliantly!

Well, I’m in a NEW place & NEW lifestyle!
Do YOU know WHO I am? WHERE I live?
I’m still not quite sure where I am,
but boat Kitty is digging it.

  5. Hi there – that boat really is full! Spider webs (and spiders) are a real mark of autumn here as well.
Most native trees don’t lose their leaves, so its good to see some colour from elsewhere!

  6. We are getting a “season of mists and mellow fruitfulness” rather than golden colours and gorgeous light. It’s good to see the sunshine, even vicariously!
