Revelation

Imagine, if you will, the stillness of

The very early morning – the world

Wrapped tightly in sleep and fog.

Suddenly, the mist is pierced

By magical fingers of light.

An illumination of world and soul –

Where the light does not reveal anything,

But is itself the revelation.

  1. Have you ever thought about combining these beautiful blog entries in a poetry photo book? I would be proud to own such a book, and enjoy looking though it…

It would be lovely to be able to look through such poetry and images on paper…

    1. I just happened to be up very early one morning in thick fog trying to photograph spider webs. Suddenly, the sun broke through and I snapped a series of five shots. I haven’t needed to edit them or anything – it really looked this glorious!

  2. When do you find time to work, to eat, to do ahem….lol. cooking? I love your shots, they transport me. And remind me that maybe the dinner can wait a few minutes while I get out there and shoot.

BEAUTIFUL! One of my favorite things to do is wake up before everyone and the sun.

  5. Superb!!!

Only three times have I had a chance to photograph the light of the angels, once through fog, once through dust and once through smoke.

    Sheer magic!

  6. Hi there – conventional wisdom suggest that you don’t shot into the light – which just comes to proves how we should view conventional wisdom!
    Splendid shots – great light.

  7. Strange: “Enter your…..” sually disappears but not this time. No problem, I have inserted some blank spaces to be able to read what I write. I like this time of day and you have captured it perfectly.
